I made my first Dr. appointment for April 17th for all the usual tests and screenings. I must be honest: I'm really excited! Even Mike has noticed the difference since we found out. I feel much more at peace and I'm definitely calmer. I dunno what it is... But I like it. I haven't experienced morning sickness (yet) and I didn't get it too badly with Jamie. There were certain smells that drove me crazy, like garlic, toasted herb sandwiches and B.O. LOL :) My eating habits are probably TOO healthy right now (healthy as in A LOT). I'm trying not to overdo it because I don't want to gain too much weight. With Jamie I gained approximately 15-20 pounds. Hopefully I can keep the trend.
The nurse over the phone put my fears of wisdom teeth extraction at ease by telling me that everything's fine and it was too early to really have a major effect on the baby. What a relief! I've been nervous about that...
Also, I've joined an online flickr group for expectant mothers called Due in 2008 that I absolutely love so far. They're all friendly and dispense useful advice.

Yes, the rumor is true!

Yes! We're expecting our second child late November this year! This morning I attempted a home pregnancy test which came out positive. I decided to go to the doctor for a free test just to make sure. A few hours later I was telling Heidi, my mom and my mother-in-law :) We're all very excited! We're hoping for a girl this time around but a healthy boy will be a blessing too :) Stay tuned for updates :)

A huge thanks to my mom for taking Jamie the last few days and to my mother-in-law for taking him while I was getting the deed done the day of. :) And of course, to my husband for not smacking me everytime I texted him when I needed something ^.~

In other news... I'm in the process of getting Jamie registered for kindergarten! I think he'll love it. He loves preschool so much. He's been a good little trooper while mama's been sick and out of it.

Well, one side of my face is still numb. I'm a tad bit concerned since this is one of the things they 'had' to tell me about during the consultation. She explained that it was a rare risk, that they might hit a nerve and my face would go partially numb for a few hours up to a few days...as possibly for life. >.<>Please don't let my face be paralyzed...

Overall, I'm not in a lot of pain, just weak from all the sleeping. Well, not really sleeping but just laying there. My mind is still in overdrive. Oh well, at least I don't have to do anything for the next few days :)

Mom's got Jamie overnight, thankfully. Mike's come down with a pretty bad case of chest cold. I'm sincerely hoping I don't catch this. Me+coughing=bad deal.

Anyway, there's the update. :) I hope everyone else is doing good. Spring is upon us!

I go in to get my wisdom teeth removed (four of 'em!) tomorrow. A little nervous about being put out considering the last time I was put out was probably when I was about 1 year old due to a dislocated hip. Yikes! But am welcoming blissful sleep...
